It's International Women's Day.

This is a heartfelt, albeit slightly late, post by which we wish to express our one common dream : to see all women live free from fear and opression. Our dream is sincere and the desire to do our part to make this dream a reality, even more so. We hope that with this year, and the others to follow, with each passing Women's Day, that more and more of us see the importance of assisting women on their path to freedom and equality.

Poem - Simon Armitage

And if it snowed and snow covered the drive
he took a spade and tossed it to one side.
And always tucked his daughter up at night
And slippered her the one time that she lied.
And every week he tipped up half his wage.
And what he didn't spend each week he saved.
And praised his wife for every meal she made.
And once, for laughing, punched her in the face.

And for his mum he hired a private nurse.
And every Sunday taxied her to church.
And he blubbed when she went from bad to worse.
And twice he lifted ten quid from her purse.

Here's how they rated him when they looked back:
sometimes he did this, sometimes he did that.

We wish that, one day, every woman, everywhere, will want and be able to celebrate Women's Day with joy and pride, and that Women's Day will be a symbol of happiness and not of the fight for rights women deserve anyway.

I've just read this poem on another blog. I was impressed on that. I wanted to know the title of this. The title is "Poem"? Is it right?
